Jason, Thanks for everything yesterday!  We had a blast learning and joking with you.  Can’t tell you enough how refreshing it is to meet a knowledgeable and professional individual such as yourself.  Keep it up and pass that fire on to your kids.  As for all of the info and your follow ups; absolutely PERFECT!  We have an action plan for the deer and we really appreciate the way you worked with us on incorporating our plan and dream of having horses on the farm.

- Brian Geverd - Lansdale, PA

Jason, I just wanted to drop you a note to say "Thank You".  Our meeting this past March opened my eyes to what I was missing all these years in order to produce mature whitetail deer.  The food plot area worked out well!  I haven't seen this many deer in several years and it can only get better.  In fact, our son Connor managed to harvest his very first whitetail this year!  Within the next year, we will be working on the "bigger" project and I can only imagine what that will produce.  The products, your support, and your recommendations that you passed on to me, have been sensational. Your friendship and continued professionalism is second to none.  I could only hope, it will continue to grow!  Keep up the good work!

- Joe Switzer - Harding, PA

Jason, Thank you for the time you spent with us at our property.  We were extremely happy that we had the opportunity to work with you. Your knowledge on all things deer is quite evident and everyone enjoyed what you had to say.  It gave us some very positive reinforcement and a clear directive as to where we want to go and how to get there.

Dad mentioned that your visit was an eye opener from a management standpoint. We are planning on sitting down with all of our characters to lay down some hunting season ground rules and address some of the pressure issues. I also believe he is going to try to make a move on the other property. (Maybe we’ll see you again!)

We started to clear the new “garage” plot behind our shop this weekend. Justin and I also went up to the sticker patch along the line and hinge cut about 2 acres in one afternoon. What a blast!! It’s amazing how quick it goes and how enjoyable it is. My only regret is we should have been doing this a long time ago. I can’t wait to see the results a few years from now.

Again, thanks so much for your time. It was an enjoyable day and a good look, and some reassurance, into what we have planned to do.

"Jason, I just wanted to give you an update on the food plot products you recommended and provided me with. The soybeans came in great and will provide tons of food for the deer over the critical winter months. The corn kicked butt and it proved to be some of the best corn in Muskingum County Ohio! Attached are a couple of bucks killed over the Eagle soybean food plots."

We had been managing our property with food plots and forest management for several years before deciding to bring Jason in for a full day consultation. While we had seen some success with our program, we felt we needed some assistance to get to the next level. After 8 hours of questions, discussions and kneeling in woods and food plots, Jason shined a spotlight on areas we were doing well and most importantly, areas we were lacking on. One thing Jason said to me the first time I spoke to him was that once I bring him on as a consultant, I am always his client. Because a successful deer management program cannot be successful overnight, his ongoing consultation will be vital to our success. Jason's food plot research and development facility is a unique resource that I will visit year after year to aid in my own food plot choices. If you think you are doing everything right with your deer management program, do yourself a favor and make sure. I'm glad I did!

Client Kills 147 Inch P&Y Buck in Central PA

My family and I had been managing our property in Cinton County, PA for deer and turkey for approximately 15 years prior to engaging with Jason.  For all those doing the same you understand the time, effort and resources required to experiment, conduct habitat improvements, apply herbicide, lime, fertilize, disc, plant, etc..  We were about to embark on another round of significant work to expand our food plot and land management program when we came to the realization that we needed to invest in professional guidance to maximize our investment of time, effort and financial resources.  Jason spent the day at our property in May 2010.  His experience, knowledge and expertise realized in prior phone conversations were even more apparent in person.  His personality and passion for doing the right things for the property as well as the wildlife was a match for us.  He validated the things we were doing right and gave us valuable insight on the things we could be doing differently and better.  That day, he shared with us beneficial contacts he has made over the years to help us procure the best products (i.e. reliable trail cameras & food plot seed) and services (i.e. forest management) at a fair and reasonable cost.  Perhaps most valuable and impressive, Jason has continued to make himself available by phone and email for advice and recommendations as we plunge forward.  We look forward to many rewards from our relationship with Jason now and in the future.

I just wanted to thank you for your help with our farm in Deposit, N.Y. As first time planters your food plot recommendations were a huge success with our soils. Your oats, clover, and brassicas just exploded and the deer couldn’t eat enough. Our trail cam pictures and tree stand sightings have proven that we have doulbled if not tripled the turkey and deer using the property. This is truely a dream come true. Your knowledge and experience has been invaluable to the enjoyment of our farm.   Thank you

- Casey Hunt - Deposit, NY

During our full day consultation we were immediately impressed with Jason. We started off by reviewing some background information about our property and our goals and objectives for the property.  Jason's organization, knowledge and professionalism were apparent during this time and continued throughout the day.  He was able to point out signals of the deer density on our property that should have been obvious to a life long hunter.  The recommendations that were presented were logical, attainable and were prioritized for our group.  With some hard work and discipline we are looking forward to having a whitetail paradise in a few years.

- Mark Hoover - Hegins, PA

Dear J, I wish to thank you for the time you spent at the farm.  The foundation you provided to my tenuous attempts at whitetail management will prove invaluable.  You left me with a clearer view and a definite direction.  I’m looking forward to showing you our progress during your next visit.

- Ed Gaw - Evans City, PA

Thank you, Jason, for the two excellent presentations that you gave at the deer management short course.  Your presentation style was very well received by the audience.  You also come across with a sense of confidence and a breadth of knowledge and experience that is hard to beat.  I would highly recommend you to others needing information on deer biology, carrying capacity, quality deer management, and trail cameras. Thanks again for all of the information you presented, the audience really gained a lot from it.

Jason’s seminars define the concepts of Quality Deer Management.  His cutting edge deer management information along with his town hall meeting style of presentation is sure to please all.  His passion for deer and deer management is evident once he gets started and he is hard to stop.  Keep up the good work!

The “food plot rage” in Pennsylvania has increased dramatically since the Pennsylvania Game Commission placed an antler size restriction on all whitetail bucks in most areas, and changed the focus from managing a “quantity” whitetail herd to a “quality” whitetail herd, one that is balanced with available habitat, with deer health, size, age, and nutrition all increasing as a result of this new management.  Many landowners have become interested in aiding the health, size, and nutrition of local whitetail herds by incorporating food plots into their landscape management plans.  Mr. Jason Snavely, Consulting Wildlife Biologist with Drop Tine Wildlife Consulting in Millville, PA, recently provided a very informative presentation on the proper planning and implementation of food plots into the Pennsylvania forested landscape.  Mr. Snavely’s presentation comprehensively covered the science of the relationship between a sustainable, quality deer herd, and the nutrition and habitat management for that herd.  Critical steps involved in creating and maintaining a successful food plot on a variety of sites, as well as identification of proper forage to use, seeding methods, and soil requirements were just some of the informative highlights of Mr. Snavely’s presentation.  Much of the guesswork and questions regarding successful food plot establishment and resulting deer health and quality increase were put to rest at the conclusion of the presentation.  Landowners attending the presentation who took good notes will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the future of their local white-tailed deer herd and other desirable wildlife populations.
